Public Lecture on Environmental Humanities and Environmental Justice

September 29th: 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm @ East Hall, Little Theatre

The public is invited to join us on the Ripon College campus for “The Environmental Humanities, the Sciences, and Environmental Justice: Reflections from the Crossroads,” a public lecture led by Rob Nixon. Rob is the Barron Family Professor in the Humanities and the Environment at Princeton University.

In most environmental programs, the sciences predominate in terms of numbers and resources. But over the past decade we have witnessed a surging, student-driven interest, across many campuses, in the environmental humanities and environmental justice. How do these two ascendant fields enrich environmental studies? And what can they contribute to imagining more sustainable futures?

Sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and Ripon College, this event is free to attend.
