In Memory of John E. Romberg ’64
JOHN E. ROMBERG ’64 of New London, Wisconsin, died Feb. 4, 2022. At Ripon, he majored in economics as well as politics and government, participated in Beta Sigma Pi and was commissioned through ROTC. He received a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University Bloomington. He was assigned to the United State Army Mobility Equipment Command, Secondary Items Division, in St. Louis, Missouri, and retired as captain. He worked for Bemis (Curwood) for 34 years before retiring in 2002. For the city of New London, he was mayor for four years, alderman, and member of the New London Family Medical Center Board and Foundation Board. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and membership in the Twin Hunter’s Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; one son and two daughters.
