In Memory of Terry Tobias ’65
Terry Tobias, class of ’65 and long time East Greenwich, RI resident, passed away December 30, 2021 after a long illness. At Ripon he was a history major and member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Upon graduation, Terry began a successful career in the fastener industry. He worked in sales for TRW in Chicago and Cleveland. Then he became sales manager of Spirol, an international fastener manufacturer, and later became its president. In 1989 he started his own company Springfast, a fastener distributor located in Providence, RI. Terry loved tennis, model trains, and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son Andrew, daughter-in-law Beth and grandchildren Annabelle, Zachary, Hannah and Ethan, and also by his brother Lynn and sister-in-law Meryl.
