2013 – Spring ’23 Class Letter
Well folks, I have my lodging booked, my babysitter confirmed, and all I need to do now is buy my tickets for Alumni Weekend!
So, who will I see there?! A bunch of you have replied in our class’ private Facebook group (if you aren’t in that group, let me know and I’ll add you!). I’m so excited to see you all. If you haven’t made plans to be in Ripon, June 23-25, it’s not too late. Hotels in town book fast though, so don’t wait! There are room blocks at Heidel House in Green Lake and at Cobblestone Suites in Ripon (Call 920.748.5500). There are also rooms available on campus, and those will be available in April.
The official 10th Reunion celebration for our class will be on Saturday, June 24 from 6-8 p.m. down in what was formerly The Terrace in Bovay and on the lawn of the Quads. We will be catering heavy appetizers (maybe from China One?!).
The night before is the Awards Dinner for all new Athletic Hall of Fame inductees, and this year that includes our very own JAKE GAHART ’13, TAYLOR KOTH ’13, MICHELLE MATTER ’13, ADAM SELLER ’13, and STEPHANIE RIEUWPASSA WILLMS ’13! We would love you to attend that dinner and celebrate them. After the dinner there will be an All Alumni gathering down in The Spot (formerly The Pub) that is open to everyone.
Keep in mind there will be activities all weekend and different ways to reconnect with Ripon people, so if an evening social isn’t your speed, check out some of the other events on the schedule for the weekend! I usually do the Rally Fun Run on Saturday, for example. 🙂
Classmate Updates:
JENA ROSCIZEWSKI CLUCKA ’13 and KEVIN CLUCKA ’13 welcomed their second little boy, Jedrick, in September.
KEELIN MEESE PETROUSKE ’13 got a new job as a veterinary technician in September.
SHAUNA PICHETTE ’13 and DAN MILES ’14 got married in September 2022 with a solid Ripon College alumni presence. Shauna also just got promoted to Clinical Training Team Lead at a telehealth company specializing in treatment of OCD & OC-Related Disorders.
JACQUI MICHALAK MADDEN ’13 and her husband, Patrick, have three kiddos, a cocker spaniel, a bunch of chickens, and just rescued a chocolate lab puppy! Jacqui started working for the VA hospital in Milwaukee.
ELLIE HEDBERG BEERS ’13 started a new position this September at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN, in their RN Float Pool. Their little boy turns two this April!
MATTHEW ROHRBECK ’13 and DARCIE FIRST ’13 welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world in September, and are also completing some home improvement projects!
SARAH CARBALLO ’13 says, “I FINALLY finished school/training last summer with the completion of a cornea and external disease fellowship in Cincinnati, OH, where I got to spend the year avoiding Skyline Chilli and reconnecting with a fellow Ripon-ite LAUREN COLETTE ’13. 
ANDREA SLOSSER WORTH ’13 writes, “Mark, Lilly (our cocker-Jack mix), and I are getting settled back in the Twin Cities (it’s like deja-vu!). I passed my licensing exam and am so happy to be done with tests, hopefully forever!”
AMY DOEFER ’13 says, “ANDY SCHULZ ’07 and I were voted New Glarus’s Oktoberfest King and Queen. I’m not sure anyone can top that news. 
EMILY KIJEK SCHWANDT ’13 writes, “I am starting grad school this summer semester at Cardinal Stritch University. I’m going for my Master’s in Literacy and rolling in my reading teacher and reading specialist licensure!”
KATE AMELL FEHRENBACH ’13 says, “ANDY FEHRENBACH ’13 left his previous contract at work (a very good and much needed thing) and now has some time for personal development and continuing ed before starting a new contract. We are also tackling a much anticipated bathroom remodel and learning lots along the way. 
CHARLOTTE LEE WAHLE ’13 writes, “I got to be in LAUREN OTT GREENE ’13 and KYLE GREENE ’15‘s wedding in November! It was beautiful. Unfortunately, I was not invited to their honeymoon, and got to write this letter instead. 
I can’t quite wrap my head around the fact that it’s been nearly ten years already, but I’m excited to catch up with all of you and remember all the good times we had at Ripon.
