It was fantastic that so many from our graduating class were able to come home to campus over Alumni Weekend to celebrate our fifteenth(!) class reunion. If you were unable to attend or have photos from the weekend you’d like to share, check out #riponaw2018 on Instagram.

Class notes:

EMILY HANSON BROOKS ’03 and her husband, Josh, welcomed a second child, daughter Hadley Rose Brooks on January 4, 2018.

TERRI BURR ’03 writes, “In October I started a new position with Whole Foods in their promotion analytics group in Austin, Texas. We love Austin so far, so much so this past week we bought a house in Georgetown, Texas.”

VICTORIA DEARBORN DUN ’03 of Bothell, Washington and her husband, Michael, welcomed daughter, Allison Valerie, in April 2017. She joins older brothers, Grady and Nathan.

ROB LENNOX ’03 of Chicago, Illinois, writes, “I got married in October in Chicago at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum to AMY FRUEHWALD ’07. DAVE HELMKE ’03, MIKE MAXWELL ’03, and MAX KELLN ’04 stood up in the wedding. The wedding itself was filled with fellow alumni. Also, by the time this goes to print we’ll have closed on buying our condo in Roscoe Village in Chicago.”

ELIZABETH MATELSKI ’03 of Melrose, Massachusetts and her wife, Courtney, are still enjoying their adventures in New England. Liz is Assistant Professor of History at Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. She’s recently been doing interviews about her book, Reducing Bodies: Mass Culture and the Female Figure, including the podcast Sexing History, and a story on the boutique fitness industry in Harper’s Bazaar.

ELAYNE MONNENS NORWEB ’03 of Coral Gables, Florida, is still home with her girls Penelope (4) and Ophelia (3). On the side, she has been baking and enjoys making specialized cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops!

PATTI REIMANN ’03 of Waupaca, Wisconsin, writes, “I was married a little over a year ago to my husband, Joel. I am currently teaching third grade for the School District of Waupaca. I will be receiving my Master’s in Educational Technology from Marian University this coming May! Life is good!”

TODD REINKE and SUSIE PEERENBOOM REINKE ’03 made a big move by moving to Waterford, Wisconsin from Howards Grove to be closer to family. Todd works at Racine Unified School District as a Technology Integration Specialist and goes to 5 different schools every week helping teachers and schools with using technology in the classroom. Susie began working at Anderson Chiropractic in Burlington, Wisconsin as an associate chiropractor and has been working on building up her practice (again). Their three girls (Peyton (8), Sadie (4.5) and Mallory (21 months)) did great with the transition and are happy to be closer to grandparents, cousins, etc.

JENNIFER WHITE ’03 of Severna Park, Maryland, writes, “Last November I took a position as a Flight Dynamics Engineer with a.i. solutions. I am working on a weather satellite called Landsat 8 (and eventually Landsat 9 after it launches) which is operated by the USGS out of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. My boyfriend and I recently adopted an adorable pitbull puppy named Anna, and I’ll be running the D.C. Rock and Roll Marathon in March which will be my 10th marathon/ultra marathon.”

DARLENE WULF ’03 writes, “For the last 11+ years I’ve been working at Brakebush Brothers in Westfield, will the Quality Assurance department. This past March I was promoted to QA Supervisor. The job itself is going well, but adjusting to first shift hours has been a struggle. Having been on second shift for the last 11 years, (and very much a night person) being to work at 5am has been interesting. Also, I am a proud Auntie of five siblings, ages 2 to 11.”

We would love to hear from many more of you for the spring class letter. We welcome updates any time of the year.

Keep in touch!
