Meet Kara Jankowski
Kara Kinas Jankowski joined the staff at Ripon College in 2017 and presently serves as chief of staff to the College President and Vice President Dean of Faculty. In a concurrent dual position with the college advancement department, Kara also retains the roles of researcher and prospect manager. Prior to her current work at Ripon, she has held many titles in college advancement including gift processor, associate director of donor relations, event coordinator, and researcher at Ripon and other higher education institutions.
Kara holds a bachelor’s degree in history from UW-Madison, and is active in the UW alumni networks.
Her passion and knowledge in history, diversity, and inclusion carries over into her work at both Ripon College and her alma mater. Kara chairs Ripon College’s Inclusion Audit Committee, and she is a founder and the current vice president of the UW APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) alumni group.
Away from college life, Kara is a mom to twins, loves all Wisconsin sports, and enjoys boating and motorcycle riding with her family and friends.
What do you love most about Ripon College and your involvement here? The best part of being at Ripon College is the people. Not only is everyone here building lasting relationships, whether with students or colleagues, it’s the character of the people.
What advice would you give to a potential donor who is considering investing in Ripon? Giving back to Ripon is important for the College to continue providing the standard of excellence to its students, faculty, staff, and community.
